What a wonderful and fun destination wedding. Most of the wedding party and guest came to the sunny beaches of Fort Myers all the way from Omaha, Nebraska.
I thought that it was time to finally gets some nice photographs of my parents. It was hard for them to keep serious doing the photo shoot, but that is just Paula and Charles for you.
Nancy and Chi had a traditional Asian wedding that took place at the bride's home. The bridal party was dressed in beautiful traditional Vietnamese outfits, adding rich color to the wedding motif. Prior to the ceremony, it is tradition for the groom and his family to walk to the bride's location. The groom and his party greets the female members of his bride's family with lots of gifts and food.
To me, photography is visual storytelling. I bring a fresh perspective to wedding photography that reflects my education and my career in photojournalism. Along with classic wedding portraits, I use candid, action photos to capture the individuality of the couple and the atmosphere they create together on their special day. I create a comfortable, natural environment for my subjects because of my enthusiasm for the job and my friendly personality. I understand that weddings are a time to celebrate the bride and the groom both as individuals and as a couple. I strive to illustrate the couple's unique identity with each photograph. As a result, my documentary style allows the couple to tell their own story.
